Homeless Food Drive
UCF held a food drive for our local homeless community. We distributed food and water to our brothers and sisters on a hot June day. Everyone was very grateful, both those serving and those being served. We will continue holding a food drive for the homeless throughout the summer.

Geshe-La Phelgye was invited to Pride Middle School to speak about Tibet and what it’s like being a Buddhist monk. The kids all asked very intelligent questions, mainly about Buddhism. One bright student even asked about reincarnation. It turned into a great opportunity to share the Dharma.

Universal Compassion Foundation handed out clothing to our homeless brothers and sisters in Spokane following Sunday Service on Christmas Eve. We’d like to give a big thank you to everyone who was able to make donations to our clothing drive and help distribute clothing. It was below freezing that day and we were able to hand out much needed warm weather gear to homeless women and men in our area.
